We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Client in their expanding and well-regarded Accountancy Practice.
What You'll Be Doing
- Taking full ownership of a senior client portfolio as the primary point of contact
- Reviewing and signing off accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
- Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and CT600 returns
- Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns while providing proactive tax planning advice
- Leading and assisting on audit assignments where required
- Overseeing and reviewing the work of junior and semi‑senior team members
- Identifying opportunities to add value and provide advisory support to clients
- Supporting partners with advisory projects and strategic initiatives
- Contributing to business development, client acquisition, and client retention activities
- Attending client meetings and building strong, long‑lasting professional relationships
What We're Looking For
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Significant post‑qualification experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge across accounts preparation, corporation tax, and personal tax
- Experience managing and reviewing the work of junior staff
- Excellent client management and communication skills
- Confident and professional with the ability to build trusted client relationships
- Experience using IRIS or TaxCalc software
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach to client service
- Audit experience would be advantageous
- Previous involvement in business development or client acquisition would be beneficial
