We are working with one of our well-established Accountancy Practice clients who are looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Clerk to join their busy Payroll team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple client payrolls, and delivering an accurate, high-quality service.
You'll be responsible for processing end-to-end payrolls for a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring all deadlines are met while providing excellent customer service.
What You'll Be Doing as a Payroll Clerk:
- Processing end-to-end weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of clients
- Managing multiple client payrolls simultaneously, ensuring all payroll deadlines are met
- Processing starters, leavers, P45s and P60s
- Completing RTI submissions to HMRC accurately and on time
- Administering auto-enrolment pensions, including pension uploads (NEST, People's Pension, Aviva and similar providers)
- Calculating SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP, holiday pay, student loans and statutory deductions
- Processing Attachment of Earnings Orders, Court Orders and CIS deductions where applicable
- Completing payroll reconciliations and year-end payroll procedures
- Resolving payroll queries and liaising directly with clients and HMRC
- Maintaining accurate payroll records while ensuring GDPR compliance
