We're pleased to be working with a global business based in the Midlands who are looking to onboard a HSE advisor, this is a busy role in a busy manufacturing plant. They are looking for someone with prior health and safety experience, IOSH qualified.
HSE advisor - Responsibilities:
- Advising and reporting to the HSE Manager with regard to policy and procedures to ensure that the company HSE policy is effectively applied
- To audit the effectiveness of such procedures and advise upon and effeect any neccessary change
- Carry out Risk Assessments on all new processes introduced to the workplace and prepare any new H&S actions arising from the Risk Assessments
- To review COSSH assessments on all new processes introduced into the workplace and prepare any new H&S actions arising from these
- To co-ordinate safe activities, procedures and policies and disseminate regularly
- Overseeing contractor on-site process systems and ensure all contractors have the correct H&S documentation and qualifications prior to access to the site
- Investigate accidents and dangerous occurrences and implement means of preventing any reoccurrences
- To obtain and update all Health and Safety datasheets for products and materials used in the workplace
- Keep up to date Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and assist with compliance
- Advise on maintaining a satisfactory standard in health, safety and environmental matters
- Maintain continual professional development
- To be fully aware of company policies and procedure, working within the guidelines as stated.
HSE Advisor - The Pacakge:
- Base salary - £36,645 + Shift allowance = £48,371 P/A
- Annual bonus - £3,500
