We are looking for a HSE Advisor to join our Client’s established manufacturing operation, supporting the HSE Manager in maintaining a safe, compliant and environmentally responsible working environment.

This is a night-shift position working 22:00–06:00 .

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support the HSE Manager with the implementation and ongoing development of company health, safety and environmental policies
  • Carry out regular audits to assess the effectiveness of HSE procedures and identify areas for improvement
  • Complete risk assessments for new processes and implement appropriate actions
  • Review and maintain COSHH assessments for workplace processes and materials
  • Coordinate safe working procedures and ensure relevant policies and instructions are communicated effectively
  • Manage the contractor on-site process, ensuring all required HSE documentation, qualifications and checks are in place
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and dangerous occurrences, identifying actions to prevent recurrence
  • Maintain and update Health & Safety Data Sheets for products and materials used across the site
  • Keep up to date with changes in HSE legislation and support the business in maintaining compliance
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees regarding workplace hazards, chemicals, handling, containment and disposal
  • Audit work equipment and PPE safety checks to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Support the company’s Integrated Management System and ensure policies, processes and procedures are consistently followed
  • Maintain accurate HSE records and documentation
  • Continue to develop your professional knowledge through ongoing training and development

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience within a Health & Safety, HSE or Environmental role, ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • Good working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements
  • Experience carrying out risk assessments and COSHH assessments
  • Experience investigating workplace accidents and incidents
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures, PPE and equipment compliance
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Confident communicating with employees, managers, contractors and external stakeholders
  • A proactive approach with the ability to identify potential risks and recommend practical solutions
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of HSE responsibilities
  • A relevant Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH would be highly desirable
  • Willingness to work
  • 22:00–06:00
