Recruitment Solutions are working with a market leading business within the logistics sector. Due to continued growth we are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join the well established team, based out of Magna Park – Lutterworth.
Department Objective: The Transport Planner is responsible for liaising with external customers through multiple forms of communication, producing reports and providing support to the Transport Team Leader and supporting other departments within the business, such as the Warehouse & inventory.
Job summary:
- 9am - 5:30pm hours per week
- Temp-to-perm
- £26,000 - £28,000
About the role:
- Effectively manage large amounts of incoming and outgoing customer emails and phone calls
- Effectively manage customer expectations on delivery requirements
- Create rapport with leading client
- Compile and build reports for external third parties
- Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods and tools
- Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits and follow up to ensure resolution
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
- Liaise with 3rd party suppliers to manage internal requirements and expectations
- Compile structured and concise plan for transportation requirements, through contact with 3rd party suppliers

- Able to prioritise & self-manage workload
