Job Description Temporary Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer \n Location: Folkestone, Kent Contract: Temporary (9 Months) Start Date: August/September 2026 Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:00am-5:00pm | Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm Working Week: 42 hours (30-minute lunch break) Pay Rate: Excellent \n We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join a well-established manufacturing site in Folkestone on an initial 9-month temporary contract. \n This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting the maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement of production and plant equipment. \n The Role \n As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently. Working as part of a small engineering team, you will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, equipment testing and continuous improvement activities to maximise plant performance and minimise downtime. \n Key Responsibilities \n \n Carry out planned, preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance on production and plant equipment. \n Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently. \n Complete routine inspections and testing to ensure equipment operates within specification. \n Troubleshoot PLC and robotic systems where required. \n Prioritise maintenance work in line with production requirements. \n Support continuous improvement initiatives, including automation developments and SMED projects. \n Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. \n Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety, GMP, quality and environmental standards. \n Support colleagues through knowledge sharing and contribute to maintaining high engineering standards across the site. \n \n About You \n To be successful in this role, you will have: \n \n Extensive experience working within an automated FMCG or manufacturing environment. \n Strong experience maintaining processing and packaging machinery. \n Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). \n Electrical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). \n Experience fault finding on PLCs and robotic equipment. \n Proven experience delivering reactive, planned, preventative and predictive maintenance. \n 17th Edition Electrical Qualification (desirable). \n Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with production teams and fellow engineers. \n A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and housekeeping. \n \n What's on Offer \n \n 9-month temporary assignment with an established manufacturing business. \n Monday to Friday working pattern with no weekend shifts. \n Opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement projects within a modern manufacturing environment. \
