Part Time Youth Support Worker

We are recruiting for a part time Youth Team Support Worker to work alongside young people 10 – 18 years of age on a project based in the Folkestone area.

No formal qualifications are required, as full training on all subjects will be provided, but as a Youth Team Support Worker, it\'s about supporting the social, emotional and physical development of young people.

Together with a qualified YTSW you will help to deliver preventative education, and this could include subjects such as: education covering drugs, substance/alcohol abuse, vape smoking, positive relationships, hate crime, mental health support, coping with often complex family issues etc., all delivered in an informal way.

The activities are numerous, but include art, crafts, DIY, gardening, board games pool, basketball, sustainability, music, photography, sexual health, and cooking as examples.

9 hours per week – split over 2 evenings each 4.5 hours
No weekend work
Rate of pay: £11.60 per hour - £12.60 per hour, depending on experience.
You must also be able to complete a DBS at no cost to yourself.
