We’re looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract, supporting maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement across our fast-paced FMCG site. If you’re experienced in both mechanical and electrical engineering and enjoy problem-solving in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of production and plant equipment, ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently. You’ll also contribute to site performance improvements (OEE), support quality standards, and follow GMP and Health & Safety procedures.
Key duties include:
- Reactive, planned, preventative & predictive maintenance across the site.
- Prioritising engineering tasks based on plant and production needs.
- Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, PLC, and robotic issues.
- Completing routine checks and ensuring equipment runs within specification.
- Supporting continuous improvement and SMED projects.
- Clear communication at shift handovers and reporting updates to supervisors.
About You
We’re looking for an engineer with:
- Experience in an automated FMCG environment.
- Strong background in processing and packaging machinery.
- Mechanical & Electrical qualifications (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3).
- 17th Edition qualification (ideal).
- A proactive, “can-do” approach and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
