We are recruiting a reliable and hardworking Timber Assembly Operative to join a busy manufacturing team in Ashford. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with an immediate start available, offering long-term prospects for the right candidate.
The role includes:
- Assemble timber products and components
- Measure, cut and prepare timber materials
- Use hand and power tools safely
- Follow drawings, specifications and instructions
- Check finished products for quality
- Maintain a clean and safe working area
- Work effectively as part of a production team
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous timber, assembly, manufacturing or construction experience would be beneficial
- Comfortable carrying out practical, hands-on work
- Able to perform physical tasks and work accurately
- Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- A good understanding of workplace health and safety
- Own transport is essential due to the location
Hours:
- Monday to Friday, daytime hours
- 43 hours per week
- Optional overtime available
