The Role
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking FLT Driver to join a busy yard and warehouse team in Ashford, Kent. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for loading, unloading, order preparation and yard operations, ensuring all goods are handled safely, accurately and on time. You will play an important role in keeping operations running smoothly, working closely with the yard team, warehouse staff and transport team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently in a busy yard environment
- Preparing, setting and loading orders ready for collection or dispatch
- Checking and verifying loads for accuracy and quality
- Loading and unloading vehicles in line with safe working practices
- Assisting customers with loading when required
- Packing and preparing carrier collections
- Maintaining stock accuracy and organisation within the yard/store area
- Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe at all times
- Supporting other yard and warehouse activities when required
What We’re Looking For
- Valid FLT licence (Counterbalance preferred)
- Previous experience working in a yard, warehouse or logistics environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
- Flexible approach to workload and tasks
