We’re looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract, supporting maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement across our fast-paced FMCG site. If you’re experienced in both mechanical and electrical engineering and enjoy problem-solving in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you.
The Role
- You’ll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of production and plant equipment, ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently.
- You’ll also contribute to site performance improvements (OEE), support quality standards, and follow GMP and Health & Safety procedures.
- Reactive, planned, preventative & predictive maintenance across the site.
- Prioritising engineering tasks based on plant and production needs.
- Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, PLC, and robotic issues.
- Completing routine checks and ensuring equipment runs within specification.
- Supporting continuous improvement and SMED projects.
- Clear communication at shift handovers and reporting updates to supervisors.
About You
- Experience in an automated FMCG environment.
- Strong background in processing and packaging machinery.
- Mechanical & Electrical qualifications (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3).
- A proactive, “can-do” approach and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6-month contract, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday.
