Fantastic & Rare Vacancy – Interviews Available Now! Join an established and ambitious construction and building-products group at a pivotal stage of growth, taking responsibility for transforming and scaling the sales function across an established business!

Are you commercially-minded, ambitious and driven by opportunity – with the ability to build a high-performing sales function and deliver significant revenue growth? Have you already led a major £10m+ revenue transformation, with experience changing sales models, improving pipelines and implementing processes that create a more predictable route to revenue? Would you like to work locally for an established and growing business where you can genuinely influence sales strategy, processes, profitability and future growth? If yes… then apply now with your CV for consideration in confidence.

This is a key senior leadership position within the business, reporting directly to the Group CEO; taking responsibility for the sales strategy, revenue growth, sales performance and development of the commercial team. This is not simply a role managing an established sales team. You will have genuine scope to shape how the business sells, reviewing the existing sales model and developing the people, processes, systems and technology required to deliver sustainable growth.

In this position, you will take responsibility for:

  • Developing and delivering the sales strategy
  • Leading a major sales and revenue transformation programme
  • Using AI processes to reduce administrative tasks and prioritise leads and accounts
  • Reviewing and improving the existing sales model and commercial structure
  • Transforming the sales pipeline, including lead generation, qualification, conversion, velocity and forecasting
  • Building a clear and measurable sales funnel with defined KPIs
  • Introducing modern sales methodologies, processes and tools
  • Leading, mentoring and developing the sales team
  • Identifying new markets, sectors, customers and geographical opportunities
  • Driving new business development and strengthening strategic accounts
  • Personally leading major opportunities, key accounts and high-value projects
  • Developing relationships with architects, contractors, developers, landscapers, specifiers, distributors and other senior decision-makers
  • Improving CRM systems, data quality, reporting and commercial intelligence
  • Establishing accurate forecasting and clear visibility of future revenue
  • Recruiting and developing additional sales talent as the business grows
  • Identifying cross-selling opportunities across the wider business
  • Working closely with Finance and Operations to ensure sales growth translates into profitable revenue
  • Managing pricing, commercial terms, margins and overall sales performance
  • Providing regular sales forecasts, performance updates and growth plans directly to the Group CEO and leadership team

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and ambitious business at a genuinely exciting stage of its development, where you will have genuine influence over sales strategy, people, customers and future growth. The company is looking for someone who is ambitious, entrepreneurial and commercially driven – someone who wants to build and transform rather than simply manage.

You don't necessarily need to have spent the last 10 years as a Sales Director. If you've progressed quickly from BDM to Sales Manager, Head of Sales or Commercial Manager and have the track record to demonstrate that you are ready to take ownership of a significant sales operation, this could be the opportunity to make the next step in your career.

Experience within construction, building products, landscaping, manufacturing, engineering, technical products or another project-led B2B environment would be advantageous, although the scale and quality of your commercial experience is key. This is an opportunity to take Sales Director-level ownership of a major growth programme, with the autonomy to shape the sales function and build something that can scale significantly beyond its current position.

The company prides itself on creating a collaborative and supportive environment, with strong team spirit, open communication and opportunities for employees to develop and progress. Sound interesting? If you have a strong background in B2B Sales, Business Development or Commercial Leadership and a proven track record of transforming sales performance and delivering significant revenue growth, apply now to find out more.
