This is a key senior leadership position within the business, reporting directly to the Managing Director and gaining a seat on the board. Therefore, taking responsibility for the successful delivery of projects across multiple operational departments with 4 Line Managers reporting to you.

As Head of Operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, in full and profitably, while maintaining exceptional standards of customer service and operational performance.

Perhaps you are already operating at Head of Operations, Operations Manager or Senior Project Management level and are looking for a role where you can genuinely influence the direction and performance of a growing business.

If you have experience leading operational teams within a technical construction, manufacturing, project delivery or similar environment, this could be the opportunity you are seeking!

In this position, you will take responsibility for:

  • Operational Leadership – overseeing Project Management, Manufacturing, Drafting, Warehouse, Compliance and Procurement teams
  • Project Delivery – ensuring projects are delivered On Time In Full (OTIF), within agreed deadlines and to the required standards
  • Commercial Performance – maintaining project GP, monitoring margins, reducing COGS and overseeing departmental spend
  • People Management – building, mentoring and managing high-performing operational and Project Management teams
  • Process Improvement – identifying operational bottlenecks, improving efficiencies and implementing better systems and processes
  • Technical Problem Solving – supporting teams with technical construction challenges and complex project delivery issues
  • Customer Experience – ensuring customers receive regular project updates and key accounts receive exceptional service
  • Cross-Department Coordination – managing the flow of projects between Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, Drafting, Compliance and Procurement
  • Financial Management – overseeing invoicing forecasts, project margins, company spend and operational KPIs
  • Escalated Project Management – acting as a senior escalation point for complex delivery challenges and decisive project decisions
