Fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing food manufacturer in a genuinely hands-on leadership role. You'll have direct responsibility for the day-to-day performance of your shift, with a clear focus on production output, quality, food safety, labour efficiency and reports for continuous improvement. This isn't a desk-based management role — you'll be on the factory floor, working closely with Team Leaders, Operators and Agency Staff to make sure the shift performs.
Daily responsibilities might range from:
- Managing daily production activities and ensuring production plans are delivered on time and in full
- Leading and supervising Production Team Leaders, Operators and temporary staff
- Running shift briefings and managing attendance, performance, training and onboarding
- Controlling labour allocation, waste, yield loss and material usage
- Ensuring BRCGS, HACCP and food safety requirements are consistently met
- Monitoring CCPs, production records and quality incidents
- Investigating issues and implementing corrective actions
- Monitoring OEE, downtime and production KPIs
- Implementing SOPs, standard work and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring accurate SAP transactions and production records
- Conducting workplace inspections and supporting Health & Safety compliance
- Reporting shift performance and KPIs to senior management
This role would suit someone who enjoys leading from the front, solving problems on the factory floor and taking genuine ownership of production performance.
