Due to expansion of our machine shop, we are looking to hire a CNC machine operator. The job role consists of mainly the following:
- Loading/unloading raw cast iron parts to machine fixtures.
- Deburring parts to remove sharp edges.
- Gauging parts using basic attribute gauges (Go/NoGo).
- Packing parts to correct specification.
Working hours are Mon-Fri 05:45 – 14:00 with 10min paid break and 15min unpaid break, totalling 40 paid hours. This is a permanent role, and we need a reliable individual. Excellent timekeeping and attendance are critical in a manufacturing environment. Full training will be provided. We offer 31 days holiday per year and uniform to be provided on completion of probationary period.
What we are looking for:
- Good English and numeracy skills with attention to detail.
- Previous experience would be advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions accurately and consistently.
Starting rate is £12.71.
