This really is an exciting opportunity to join the Sarnitiy Pure team as a Residential Care Worker in our newly opened 2-bedded home in Harrow. Become a part of their dedicated staff team offering therapeutic and nurturing support to empower young people to maximise their opportunities and aspirations.

They offer comprehensive residential care to young people aged between 7-18 years, who have emotional and behavioural difficulties. They pride themselves on offering a friendly and inclusive environment, where they work hard to support each other, to deliver high quality care. It is therefore essential, that you hold the same values and principles as they do, to ensure that the young people are at the centre of everything they do.

Ultimately, the role of the Residential Support Worker allows you to make a positive difference in the lives of young people and we are seeking care workers who are:

  • calm,
  • conscientious and compassionate,
  • capable of tending to the daily requirements of our vulnerable young people,
  • have a caring and nurturing approach,
  • empathetic towards the young people's experiences,
  • understanding around their individual needs, history and trauma,
  • have the ability to reflect on their own practice and encourage the young people and team around them to be reflective,
  • resilient in supporting challenging behaviours developed from trauma,
  • show commitment, reliability and determination.

Working Pattern:

Full-time roles and part-time roles available. Requiring a 2 on 4 off rota and sleep-ins; however, some flexibility is required due to the nature of the role which is a 365-day service.

Join them in assisting vulnerable young individuals with emotional and behavioural difficulties, who require support with daily activities such as education, life skills and enjoying a range of activities and hobbies.

They offer care workers support through their comprehensive induction programme when you first join them. After finishing your training, you will become familiar with your role by meeting your team and completing shadow shifts, which will help you ease into your duties. Managers will be on hand to offer assistance and guidance whenever required.

Essential Requirements:

  • Passionate about helping children,
  • Able to complete a rota pattern with sleep-ins.
  • Estimated salary based on a pay rate of £12.50- £13.50 per hour for days (depending on qualifications) and working an average of 11 shifts (with sleep-ins) per month paid at £50 per sleep.

The post holder has the responsibility to adhere to our Safeguarding and Child Protection Procedure. They are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and they expect all employees to share this commitment. Therefore, as this post of Residential Support Worker is a regulated activity and/or on a regulated site, the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS, and their safer recruitment process.

This post is exempt from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions Order 1975). The company are unable to offer sponsorship opportunities.

Experience:

  • Residential childcare: 1 year (preferred)
  • Experience of working with young people, with complex needs within a residential setting desirable.
  • Effective characteristics and personality to handle challenging situations.
  • Ability to place young people at the centre of all practice and decision making.

Licence/Certification:

  • Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) (preferred) or willingness to complete this within regulatory timeframes is essential.
  • Staff will have ongoing training which will have a time frame to complete.

Work Location:

In person at the home in Harrow, near Rayners Lane. They will be looking to complete interviews in May 2025 so please get your applications in early to avoid disappointment.
