Our client Grelson Ltd T/A Marlowe is looking for a multi trader who has experience of working on level access showers adaptations (Wet rooms) to join their highly motivated team.
Β£(Apply online only) per LAS. Average completion 6-7 working days. Sub contractor role. Day rate & price work available. Van can be supplied if required.
Typical day to day activities include:
- Strip outs: Isolating hot and cold feeds, removing existing bath, tiles and flooring.
- First fix plumbing: Routing all existing pipework out of wet area and running of new cold feed to shower.
- Make good walls for tiling: dry line or bonding of walls.
- Studwork: Some studwork may need building to house pipework and electrics.
- Fit tuff form tray: cut out floorboards to facilitate laying of tuff form tray and running of new gravity waste and connections.
- Prep subfloor: Laying of 6mm plywood overlay in remaining floor area.
- Wall tiling: Approx 8m2 of tiling in wet area and splash back on basin, average tile size 250 x 250mm.
- Remove and refit existing WC to facilitate the laying of new safety flooring.
- Second fix plumbing: fit new basin and semi ped, fit new shower, fit new standard 750mm wet room screens.
- Fitting of grab rails: communicate with client on best position.
- Clean and seal.
Flooring and electrics to be carried out by others. Experience in plumbing, tiling and carpentry is essential for this role. Must have own tools. Company vehicle and fuel card provided.
