Mrs Sourdough is an artisan bakery, patisserie, and coffee shop in Chatham, Kent. We specialise in handcrafted sourdough bread made using traditional fermentation methods, alongside pastries, cakes, and savoury products all made fresh daily with a focus on quality and simplicity.
We are looking for a Sourdough Bread Baker to join our team. This is a full-time, on-site night shift role, with working hours starting around 1:00 - 2:00 AM, including weekends. You will be responsible for producing high-quality sourdough breads from start to finish, including mixing, fermenting, shaping, and baking. This is a hands-on role where you will also support other areas of the bakery as needed; there is always something to do, not just sourdough.
Key Responsibilities- Mixing, fermenting, and shaping sourdough breads
- Managing overnight production schedules
- Baking using deck ovens and monitoring quality
- Supporting production of other bakery items when required
- Maintaining high standards of consistency and presentation
