Consilium Contracting Services is a fast-paced, 24/7 multi-trade contracting business operating throughout the East of Scotland, primarily serving Housing Associations and Councils within the public sector. They manage social housing stock using a multi-trade approach and also provide services to private domestic homes across Edinburgh, Fife, West Lothian, Dunfermline and the surrounding areas.
Handling more than 2,500 jobs each month, they specialise in reactive repairs, planned maintenance and refurbishment works, ranging from small day-to-day repairs to larger void property projects, all delivered to strict Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit multiple Joiners to join their expanding team. The successful candidates will be experienced in reactive maintenance, enjoy working both independently and as part of a wider team, and ideally have previous experience working within Housing Associations or Local Authority contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Reactive joinery maintenance.
- Planned joinery maintenance.
- General multi-trade repairs.
- Lock and ironmongery repairs and replacements, including forced access work.
- General refurbishment works within void properties.
- Kitchen installations and upgrades.
- Bathroom installations and upgrades.
- Wet wall installation.
- Medical adaptations.
- General repair and maintenance work across domestic properties.
Please Note
- There will be occasional requirements for overtime or out-of-hours working to complete urgent jobs and meet customers' essential needs.
- You will participate in an on-call rota (approximately 1 in 4).
- Working hours and attendance will be monitored, and the company expects a professional, reliable approach throughout the working day.
- You will be expected to take care of the company vehicle, tools and equipment and always work safely and ethically.
