Consilium Contracting Services are an extremely fast-paced 24/7 multi-trade contracting company, with this role based in the Borders (Selkirk region and surroundings). They operate primarily in the public sector for Housing Associations and Councils, managing social housing stock using a multi-trade approach. They also work in private domestic homes. As a 24/7 reactive repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment company, they deliver more than 2,500 jobs each month, all measured against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). These jobs range from small repairs to larger works known as Voids.
They are seeking a Joiner to join their team to assist on day-to-day management of the team in the Borders as well as delivering projects. Ideally, the individual will be familiar with Housing Associations and Councils and be a team player. The candidate must be able to undertake a variety of repair and installation jobs, including but not limited to:
- Reactive Joinery maintenance
- Planned Joinery maintenance
- General multi-trade repairs
- Locks/Ironmongery repairs and replacements (e.g., forced access)
- General refurbishment works for Voids
- Kitchen upgrades
- Bathroom upgrades
- Wet walling
- Medical adaptations
- General repair-type jobs
Please Note: There will be a requirement for occasional out-of-hours/overtime work to complete jobs and ensure customers' essential needs are met. Additionally, you will be placed on an on-call rota (approximately 1 in 4). They request that you work your 8 hours per day in full, as start and finish times will be monitored. Please be ethical and moral: work 8 hours per day—a fair day's pay for a fair day's work—and take care of their van and equipment.
