Role Overview: The Approved Electrician will install, test, and maintain electrical systems to industry standards, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality work across all projects. The role also involves fault-finding, completing documentation, and supporting colleagues on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and commission electrical systems to BS 7671 standards.
- Carry out inspection, testing, and certification (EIC/EICR/MEIWC).
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with regulations.
- Supervise and support Electricians and Apprentices when required.
- Communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
Required qualifications / Expectations / Experience:
- Level 3 technical qualifications documentary evidence of vocational training (i.e. Apprenticeship or NVQ 3).
- 18th edition.
- Testing and inspection (2391).
- ECS Gold Card.
- Proven site experience.
- Full clean manual UK driving license.
- Ability to complete company Risk Assessments.
- Proven experience as an Approved or Qualified Electrician in commercial and/or industrial environments.
- Strong background in electrical installation, testing, and fault-finding.
- Competence in completing EIC/EICR/MEIWC documentation.
- Experience working to BS 7671 and established health & safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and support junior team members.
