Role Overview: This is a new position within a growing team. You will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repairs to plumbing systems across commercial properties, ensuring systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial plumbing systems.
- Respond to reactive maintenance calls and diagnose plumbing faults.
- Repair or replace faulty pipework, valves, pumps, and plumbing fixtures.
- Carry out servicing of hot and cold-water systems.
- Identify and resolve leaks, blockages, and pressure issues.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations and water compliance standards.
- Complete job reports and maintenance documentation accurately.
- Work collaboratively with other engineers and the wider maintenance team.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and customer service across all sites.
Required qualifications / Expectations / Experience:
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent).
- Proven experience working as a plumber within commercial or maintenance environments.
- Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive plumbing repairs.
- Good knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and water regulations.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across plumbing systems.
- Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
- Full Manual UK driving licence.
- Experience working with hot and cold-water systems, pipework, valves, pumps, and sanitary systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload across multiple sites.
- Experience completing job reports and maintenance documentation.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures within a commercial environment.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Unvented Hot Water Certification (G3).
- Experience working within facilities management or service and maintenance roles.
- CSCS or relevant site safety card.
- SC Clearance.
