- About the opportunity
The Carlton Hotel is looking for an energetic and dependable Assistant Manager to help the owners with the day-to-day running of our independent 35-bedroom boutique hotel in Ilfracombe.
This varied, guest-facing position covers reception, guest services, food and beverage operations and event planning.
It will suit someone who is hands-on, takes pride in excellent service and enjoys supporting guests and colleagues.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome guests and support reception duties, including arrivals, departures, enquiries and reservations.
- Help resolve guest requests promptly and maintain a warm, professional standard of service.
- Support food and beverage service across the hotel, including preparing service areas and assisting during busy periods.
- Help maintain operational standards and assist with the planning and delivery of hotel events, functions and group bookings.
- Work closely with the business owners and wider team to support the smooth day-to-day running of the hotel.
About you
Food and beverage experience is essential. Experience in hospitality, hotels or customer service would be an advantage.
