Job Overview
Haulmaster’s Ltd holds contracts in the events industry, commercial removals and general haulage during quieter periods. Drivers will operate curtainsiders, flatbeds and box trailers equipped with ramps and tail lifts, covering routes across the UK and Europe. Flexibility is key, as the role may require night shifts, overnight stays and weekend work when needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Driving lorries to transport goods over short and long distances
* Loading and unloading cargo, with the ability to self-load and secure loads (training provided)
* Ensuring goods are securely strapped down
* Inspecting vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns
* Maintaining accurate driving logs
* Communicating effectively with transport teams, colleagues and customers
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience as an HGV driver (minimum 1 year preferred; new passes considered for exceptional candidates)
* Excellent driving record
* Category CE Licence (required)
* Strong time-keeping and communication skills to adapt to short-notice changes in routes and schedules
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and overtime as needed
Desirable Skills
* Ability to self-load and secure loads (training will be provided if needed)
