Due to expansion of our machine shop, we are looking to hire CNC machine operators for both early and late shifts. The job role consists of mainly the following:
- Loading/unloading raw cast iron parts to machine fixtures.
- Deburring parts to remove sharp edges.
- Gauging parts using basic attribute gauges (Go/NoGo).
- Packing parts to correct specification.
Working hours for early shift are Mon‑Fri 05:45 - 14:00 with 10 min paid break and 15 min unpaid break (40 paid hrs). Working hours for late shift are Mon‑Thu 14:00 - 01:30 with 10 min paid break and 30 min unpaid break (44 paid hrs) with shift allowance of x 1.25 all hours. These are permanent roles on fixed shifts, we need reliable individuals. Excellent timekeeping and attendance are critical in a manufacturing environment. Full training will be provided to perform the role. We offer 31 days holiday per year and uniform to be provided on completion of probationary period.
What we are looking for:
- Good English and numeracy skills with attention to detail.
- Previous experience would be advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions accurately and consistently.
Starting rate is £12.71/hr.
