We provide servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, MOT preparation and repairs for a wide range of HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles, supporting both our own fleet and external customers.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced HGV Technician/Mechanic to join our skilled workshop team.

Responsibilities

  • Routine servicing and preventative maintenance of HGVs and commercial vehicles.
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
  • Repairs to engines, gearboxes, braking systems, suspension and steering.
  • MOT preparation and inspections.
  • Using modern diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults.
  • Completing workshop documentation accurately.
  • Working to DVSA standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop.
  • Supporting colleagues to deliver an efficient and professional service

Experience

  • Previous experience as an HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Mechanic.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Good knowledge of HGV servicing and repair procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Desirable

  • Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence.
  • Experience with trailer maintenance and repairs.
  • IRTEC accreditation.
