Job Title: Assistant Sales Manager Year Commencing: 2025 Department: Sales (Group) Location: Daytona Sandown Park, Esher, Surrey KT10 8AN Reporting to: Group Head of Sales Contract Type: Full-time / permanent To drive B2B and B2C sales across events, bookings, and experiences while supporting the Sales Manager and contributing to the commercial success of the venue. This role includes responsibility for overseeing a small team of Sales Executives, ensuring daily targets are met, providing support, guidance, and coaching, and leading by example. RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead by example in achieving and exceeding individual and team sales targets across all revenue streams. * Assist in overseeing a team of 3–5 Sales Executives, ensuring structured daily activity, pipeline management, and consistent performance. * Support the Group Head of Sales in implementing sales strategies and processes at site level. * Ensure CRM systems and booking platforms are updated accurately and promptly. * Monitor inbound enquiries, team response times, and conversion rates, intervening where needed. * Provide coaching and on-the-job support to the sales team members, including call listening, objection handling, and closing techniques. * Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to ensure events and promotions are effectively sold and delivered. * Maintain high levels of customer service and client satisfaction through clear communication and efficient booking processes. * Prepare weekly sales updates and reports for senior management. * Deputise for the Group Head of Sales as required, including in meetings or escalated client matters. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * Proven track record in sales, preferably within hospitality, leisure, or events. * Previous team leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Confident using CRM and booking platforms. * A proactive, target-driven approach with strong organisational skills. * Able to work weekends or evenings when business levels require.
