A well-established leading manufacturer within the automotive industry is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to look after the South East Region. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, experienced sales professional to join a leading name within the sector.
Role Overview
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in generating new business, driving growth in sales and building long lasting relationships with customers and key accounts. If you have a passion for lead generation, networking and field sales then this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, and strategic outreach within target markets.
- Manage business development for the Midlands region prospecting to potential customers and ensuring outstanding service to existing customers.
- Develop and nurture long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to understand client needs and position consultancy services effectively.
- Lead on bid management and proposal development, including coordinating subject matter experts, pricing strategy, and delivering compelling client presentations.
- Create and execute business development strategies aligned with firm-wide growth objectives, market trends, and sector priorities.
- Monitor pipeline activity, revenue forecasting, and performance metrics, ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets and contribution to overall growth.
About You

Requirements
- Experience as a business development manager or similar role
- The ability to generate new business through networking and outbound lead generation
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience using salesforce CRM is desirable but not essential
- Proactive and flexible approach to work
- Full drivers license
