Are you an experienced Site Manager with a Mechanical or Electrical background? Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Site Manager to join a professional and established building services provider in Central London. This is a commercial office maintenance role, requiring an experienced manager with a strong technical background in mechanical or electrical building services.

You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of hard services maintenance across mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, managing engineers and subcontractors and ensuring planned and reactive maintenance works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard within a live commercial office environment.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Mechanical or Electrical qualification
  • SMSTS
  • Strong technical understanding of M&E building services
  • Previous commercial office maintenance experience

Desirable:

  • Electrical qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / 18th Edition
  • Mechanical building services qualification
  • First Aid
  • ECS / JIB Card
  • Additional Health & Safety qualifications

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of hard services maintenance within commercial office buildings
  • Oversee mechanical, electrical and plumbing maintenance activities
  • Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance works
  • Coordinate engineers, specialist subcontractors and other service providers
  • Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with agreed schedules
  • Monitor contractor performance, workmanship and compliance
  • Manage RAMS, permits to work and site Health & Safety requirements
  • Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across building services
  • Coordinate maintenance activities within a live commercial office environment while minimising disruption
  • Liaise with clients, building management, engineers and contractors
  • Monitor outstanding works and ensure issues are resolved efficiently
  • Maintain accurate site records and reports
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and professional conduct are maintained
  • Support the effective operation and maintenance of M&E systems across the buildings

Requirements

As Site Manager, you will also be expected to:

  • Have previous experience managing hard services within commercial office environments
  • Come from a Mechanical or Electrical technical background
  • Have experience managing engineers and specialist M&E subcontractors
  • Understand planned and reactive maintenance requirements
  • Have a strong understanding of commercial building services including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and associated systems
  • Be confident working within occupied and operational buildings
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, compliance and Health & Safety documentation

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Comply with all employment legislation and relevant codes of good practice
  • Take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated legislation
  • Ensure contractors and engineers comply with site Health & Safety procedures
  • Maintain appropriate RAMS, permits and compliance documentation
  • Co-operate fully with the company, clients and colleagues to ensure statutory and safety requirements are always met
