Are you an experienced Painter & Decorator? Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Painter & Decorator to join a professional and growing decorating company. This is a customer-facing, field-based role requiring a reliable, hardworking individual who can work independently and as part of a wider team. You will be responsible for carrying out painting and decorating works at customer sites, maintaining high standards of workmanship, cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Minimum 5-6 years experience working as a Painter & Decorator
  • Good knowledge of painting and decorating techniques
  • Ability to prepare surfaces and achieve a high-quality finish
  • Good attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence desirable

Desirable:

  • Relevant painting and decorating qualifications
  • CSCS Card
  • Experience working on commercial projects
  • Experience with wallpaper hanging and specialist finishes

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Carry out painting and decorating works at agreed customer sites
  • Prepare surfaces including walls, ceilings, woodwork and other areas prior to painting
  • Apply paints, primers, undercoats and finishes to a high standard
  • Carry out wallpaper hanging and other decorating works where required
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently and in line with company procedures
  • Working safely, taking all necessary precautions to prevent danger and avoid injury
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy and professional working environment
  • Liaising with the Operations Supervisor regarding work schedules and daily activities
  • Communicating effectively with staff and customers at all levels
  • Maintaining excellent timekeeping, as detailed in work schedules issued in advance
  • Proactively identifying and preventing potential areas of customer dissatisfaction
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and complying fully with company standards
  • Demonstrating flexibility and willingness to travel to customer locations across Leicester and surrounding areas
  • Being willing to work additional hours when required
  • Undertaking any other ad-hoc duties as directed by the company.

Requirements

As a Painter & Decorator, you will also be expected to:

  • Complete all required paperwork accurately, efficiently, and on time.
  • Ensure all works are completed to the required quality standards and within agreed timescales.
  • Communicate any issues, delays or additional requirements to the relevant member of the team.
