Role: External Sales Manager

Location: Glasgow

Pay rate/Salary: Base Salary £35k to £45k + Performance Related Bonus

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday

Type: Permanent – Office/Field based

Start Date: Immediately (flexible for notice periods)

About the Client

My client is a leading Electrical Wholesaler, one of the largest in the UK. They are recruiting for an External Sales Manager in their Glasgow Branch.

Responsibilities of Sales Manager:

  1. Growing and increasing sales in the branch’s geographical area.
  2. Identifying and developing new and existing business accounts.
  3. Developing strong customer relationships to maximize the potential of all accounts.
  4. Approaching rejection confidently, whether on the phone or face-to-face.
  5. Working as part of a team to achieve high standards of business excellence.

Essential Skills:

  • Electrical Wholesale experience
  • Cold calling with willingness and tenacity
  • Ability to identify suitable target companies
  • Confidence in demonstrating sample products face-to-face
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships
  • Planning, organizing, and working to tight deadlines
  • Smart presentation and professional image
  • Valid UK driving license
