A leading provider of sustainable energy solutions in Shropshire is seeking a Trainee Service Engineer to assist senior engineers with routine servicing, maintenance, and repair of biomass boiler systems. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual with an Electrical or Mechanical qualification and a keen interest in renewable energy sources to take their career to the next level. The company offers a competitive pay and benefits package starting from £27,000 per year, and full training and ongoing support will be provided.
As the Trainee Service Engineer, your tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Assisting senior engineers with routine inspections, service and maintenance of biomass boiler systems.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.
- Repairing or replacing faulty components.
- Record keeping of service and maintenance activities.
The Trainee Service Engineer will have the following skills and attributes:
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Electrical or mechanical qualification with basic understanding of biomass boiler systems, PLC controls, and reading technical manuals and schematics would be a distinct advantage.
- Ability to work well within a team environment and eager to learn and progress.
- Hold a valid UK driver's license.
You will be working Monday to Friday, from the Market Drayton office and from various sites around the UK. Travel to client sites will be required and occasional nights away may be needed. Overtime is available on request. Appointment will be subject to right to work checks and satisfactory references.
