A rapidly expanding electrical and building services contractor in Stoke-on-Trent is looking for an Electrical Installation Testing Engineer to join its dedicated team and deliver high-quality installations across commercial, industrial, and education-sector projects. This is a great opportunity for a motivated engineer to take ownership of a developing department and contribute to its long-term success, while working closely with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to maintain consistently high standards of safety, compliance, and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out initial verification, periodic inspection, and electrical testing across commercial and industrial projects.
- Complete Electrical Installation Certificates, Minor Works Certificates, and Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).
- Testing single and three-phase electrical installations.
- Identify defects, non-compliances, and remedial works.
- Produce accurate certification and results.
- Liaise with project managers, site teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery of works.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in electrical inspection and testing within commercial or industrial environments.
- City & Guilds 2391, 2394/2395 or equivalent inspection and testing qualification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- ECS/JIB Gold Card preferred.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
