Role Overview
We are looking for a commercially-minded freelance PR consultant to lead corporate and founder profile-raising activity, who can directly connect media coverage to tangible business outcomes. You will be responsible for shaping and amplifying Recruitment Revenue’s narrative, securing high-impact coverage, and positioning the founder as a go-to authority within recruitment and broader business media.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a PR strategy that positions Recruitment Revenue as a category leader in recruitment growth and outbound performance.
- Lead founder profile-raising activity, building a strong, credible presence across national media and top-tier trade publications.
- Create and place high-quality thought leadership that resonates with recruitment agency owners and decision-makers.
- Craft compelling narratives that cut through a saturated market and drive inbound interest, credibility, and commercial opportunities.
- Pitch and secure coverage across national newspapers, top-tier recruitment and business trade titles, and leading digital platforms.
- Leverage existing media relationships to unlock consistent, high-quality coverage opportunities.
- Identify and act on reactive PR opportunities to keep Recruitment Revenue and its founder relevant in industry conversations.
- Provide strategic input on messaging, positioning, and market perception.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in corporate PR and founder profile-raising, with clear examples of measurable impact.
- Strong background in thought leadership development and placement.
- Established media contacts across print, online, and digital, particularly within national press and top-tier trade publications.
- Demonstrated ability to create narratives that cut through and deliver tangible commercial outcomes (e.g. inbound leads, partnerships, revenue opportunities).
- Strong commercial awareness - you understand that PR must ultimately contribute to business growth.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex commercial ideas into clear, compelling stories.
- Highly self-sufficient, proactive, and able to operate as a trusted external partner.
Compensation
- Base Fee: Competitive day rate or monthly retainer, depending on experience and scope.
