The role:
This is a broad, hands-on HR role with both strategic influence and day-to-day involvement. You'll be the go-to person for all things people — bringing structure, clarity, and consistency as the business grows. You'll be responsible for:
- Acting as the main point of contact for employees across the business
- Supporting and improving performance management, appraisals, and development frameworks
- Reviewing and maintaining job descriptions, compensation, and benefits
- Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes
- Implementing and managing policies across areas such as hybrid working, wellbeing, and absence
- Supporting team leaders with people challenges, coaching, and guidance
- Promoting company values and strengthening internal culture
- Providing insight through HR data, metrics, and reporting
- Ensuring compliance with employment law and best practice
What you'll need:
- Experience in an HR role, ideally within financial services or professional services
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Confidence operating both strategically and hands-on
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, approachable, and solutions-focused mindset
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to build trust across all levels of a business
- CIPD qualification (or working towards) is desirable
