Financial Planner Assistant role with clear paraplanner pathway.
Are you an experienced IFA Administrator ready to step up? We are looking for someone ambitious who wants structured development, real mentoring, and a clear pathway into paraplanning. You will join initially in a Planner Support role, building strong technical foundations before progressing into an Assistant Paraplanner position as you progress with your CII Diploma exams and gain more experience.
The role
- Working closely with a Financial Planner, you will help prepare, implement, and review high-quality financial plans.
- You will support with:
- Preparing client meeting documents and fact finds
- Gathering provider and platform information
- Assisting with cash-flow modelling
- Drafting suitability reports (as you develop)
- Managing workflows and implementation
- Acting as a professional point of contact for clients
You will gain exposure to pensions, investments, protection, and suitability reporting — developing both technical expertise and confidence.
Your development
Over your first 12 months you will:
- Strengthen your financial planning knowledge
- Receive mentoring from experienced paraplanners
- Be supported towards CII Diploma exams
- Progress into Assistant Paraplanner when ready
About you
You may be:
- An experienced IFA Administrator
- A Senior Administrator seeking progression
- Part-qualified (or ready to begin) CII Diploma
You will ideally have 3+ years financial services experience, strong attention to detail, excellent written skills, and good knowledge of pensions, investments and FCA standards. Ambitious but not ticking every box? We would still like to hear from you.
