Recruitment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of a well-established nursery in Erith for an experienced and motivated Preschool Room Leader.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified early years professional to take on a leadership role, guiding a dedicated team while delivering exceptional care and education within the preschool room.
The Role As the Preschool Room Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the preschool room, ensuring high standards of care, learning, and safeguarding are maintained.
You will lead and support your team, deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, and create a safe, stimulating environment where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the preschool room.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress and development.
- Support, mentor, and motivate the room team to maintain high standards.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ensure safeguarding, health, safety, and welfare procedures are followed at all times.
- Work closely with the nursery management team to promote continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
- Previous experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner within a nursery setting.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- A proactive, caring, and professional approach to childcare.
- Right to work in the UK.
