The Role
As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operation of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding are maintained. You will lead by example, support and mentor the staff team, and help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery.
- Lead and motivate the staff team to deliver outstanding childcare and education.
- Ensure activities are planned and delivered in line with the EYFS framework.
- Monitor children's learning, development, and wellbeing.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory requirements are met at all times.
- Assist with staff supervision, training, and performance management.
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
- At least 2 years' experience in a senior or management role within an early years setting.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
- A proactive and supportive approach to leading and developing a team.
- Right to work in the UK.
