Customer Service Agent Location: Pinxton, Derbyshire Salary: £29,100 Job Type: Full-time, office-based Department: UK & Export Sales The Opportunity Recruitment Pro are working with an established and growing business in Pinxton who are looking to add a Customer Service Agent to their small, friendly commercial team. Everyone plays their part and you’ll have the opportunity to build genuine relationships with both customers and colleagues. What Will You Be Doing? You’ll play an important role within the UK & Export Sales team, looking after customers from initial enquiry through to order and delivery. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: * Responding to customer enquiries via telephone and email. * Preparing and sending accurate quotations. * Processing customer orders and checking everything is correct. * Entering orders onto the company’s ERP system. * Liaising with the Warehouse and Manufacturing teams to ensure orders are progressing smoothly. * Working with carriers to follow up deliveries and obtain proof of delivery. * Dealing with customer queries and resolving issues professionally. * Building strong relationships with new and existing customers. * Following up quotations and helping to identify potential sales opportunities. * Supporting the wider sales team with day-to-day commercial activity. * Taking ownership of your customers and making sure they receive a great service. Monday to Thursday: 8:15am to 5:00pm - Friday: 8:15am to 4:00pm - Lunch break: 1 hour What Are We Looking For? You don't necessarily need experience within the company's specific industry — we're more interested in your approach, personality and customer service skills. We're looking for someone who is: * Naturally friendly and confident when speaking to customers. * Organised and able to keep on top of multiple tasks. * A good communicator, both over the phone and via email. * Naturally proactive and willing to use their initiative. * Accurate and detail-focused. * Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel. * A genuine team player who enjoys working closely with others. * Someone who takes pride in providing a great customer experience. Previous experience in Customer Service, Sales Administration, Sales Support or a similar commercial role would be advantageous. Why This Role?
