Overview

Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom

We are looking for an IT Support Technician who will predominantly work in assisting day to day support issues, but with the experience and responsibility to resolve more complex incidents and problems. Overseeing the Service Desk, ensuring helpdesk tickets have been logged properly with all notes, progress and required actions accurately input and assigned will be a daily requirement within this role.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manage Streamline service desk, monitoring support tickets and solving issues. Escalating tickets to Nitec and working with Nitec support staff where applicable.
  • Deploying and supporting large numbers of Windows PCs, iPads and iPhones and other specialist equipment, ensuring that systems are ready for use and operating safely and correctly.
  • Active Directory management users, security groups, distribution lists.
  • Facilitate the repair or replacement of iPads, iPhone, computers and peripheral equipment.
  • Maintain the hardware and software audits; order consumables and other equipment.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties specified by the Head of IT from time-to-time.
  • Assist in creating a structured approach to rolling out new hardware and software.
  • Install new software and hardware and ensure latest software upgrades are implemented. Management of Office 365 products – User license assignments and Intune management.
  • End user engagement / training when required.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining user accounts and mailboxes.

Experience / Attributes

  • Proven work experience in IT Support or support technician role
  • In depth knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Desire to improve existing processes and procedures
  • Good communication skills, Can work Full time, Onsite
