Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensuring the correct maintenance of our machinery is no small task. As a Maintenance Engineer, it will be your job to carry this out on plant and machinery whilst communicating planned downtime with the production team to help allocate resources. The most challenging part of the job will be when that piece of machinery breaks down unexpectedly; working in a small team, you will need to react and get everything up and running again in a safe and timely manner.
You will need to understand the operating procedures of all equipment and the part that it plays in the production process and make recommendations to help reduce downtime and improve the process. Health and Safety is a large part of this role, whether it's re-commissioning machines when they have been repaired, identifying the parts to keep the machinery running smoothly, or completing the relevant permits to work.
Job Requirements:
To be successful in this role you will need to be educated to NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or time served with either electrical or mechanical qualifications as well as 18th edition electrical qualifications for electrical roles. Ideally, you should have 3 years of experience using similar equipment such as overhead cranes, CNC machines, and general plant maintenance.
