This mid-sized, purpose-built home delivers residential and dementia care.
It is well-run with a loyal team and strong local name, and there are plans to develop nursing provision.
You will lead the home into its next phase while protecting what is already good and maintaining high standards of quality and care.
You will run the home with real independence, owning quality, compliance, staffing and culture, supported by a quality team and senior leadership that trusts experienced managers to manage.
We are open to nurse and non-nurse managers. Experience running a nursing home or holding an active NMC pin will be a particular advantage.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the home with a focus on quality, compliance, staffing, and culture.
- Drive development and improvement initiatives, including the planned move into nursing provision.
- Ensure effective relationships with local authorities, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain a safe, compliant, and person-centred environment for residents.
- Provide strong leadership to attract and retain a stable, engaged team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Solid track record as a Registered, Deputy, or Acting Manager (3+ years leading a home or service).
- Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care, or currently working towards it.
- Strong understanding of CQC standards and how to use them to improve a service, not just pass inspections.
- Confidence in working with local authorities, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Leadership that motivates staff to stay and perform well.
- Open to either nurse or non-nurse managers; nursing home experience or an active NMC pin is advantageous.
