Home Manager
Gwynedd – 45,000 to 50,000 + additional benefits and bonus
Heard of the Peter Principle?
It\’s that people get promoted to their level of incompetence.
You\’re a good burger flipper, so you\’re promoted to manager. But you know nothing about management, so you\’re useless, and don\’t get promoted anymore.
Now you\’re just a bad manager. Hooray!
It\’s why stepping up can be so scary.
To make it work, you need training. Understanding. Support.
Here, you\’ll get all that. All the benefits of seniority, less of the scary.
Why work here?
It\’s family-run, so you\’re treated as a person, not a position. There\’s the patience to develop and train you rather than demand immediate results.
The directors are hands-on, so you can approach them with issues. And you\’ll have a dedicated ops team behind you, so you\’re not overloaded.
You\’ll also get:
- Benefits: Private healthcare, NEST pension, and annual discretionary bonus
- Career progression: Opportunity to implement ideas, improve services, and make your mark
- Beautiful location: Just up from the beach, about 20 minutes from the mountains, still has good WiFi. It\’s what you picture when you hear \”scenic\”.
Want proof this set-up works? The team\’s well-established/long-serving with excellent staff retention. Over three quarters of the staff team of 56 have been with them for over five years, fourteen of them for over fifteen years.
The role:
You\’ll be in charge of resident care and staffing. If you\’re a Deputy, you already know most of what that entails. The rest they can teach you.
The key to this role is to be firm but fair, proactive in maintaining occupancy, and a natural people person and compassionate but confident. You\’ll be the type of person that likes to lead by example and not be scared of rolling up your sleeves.
About you:
You\’re a Deputy home Manager with the confidence in your leadership skills to want to step up, but the good sense to do it somewhere you\’ll be taken care of.
Of course, if you\’re already a Home Manager, that\’s great too. You\’ll hit the ground running.
Same if you\’ve got a clinical background. It\’s useful – definitely let us know – but it\’s not essential. Nurse or non-nurse, you\’ll get clinical support here.
If you want more, but don\’t want to go it alone, hit apply. Send your CV (don\’t worry if it\’s not up to date), and we\’ll get back to you.
Any questions, call me – Tim – on (phone number removed). I\’ll answer honestly.
Don\’t be a Peter.
