Do you take pride in making sure things are right before they reach the customer? If you have experience in a warehouse, production, stock control or quality environment and are looking for a role where your attention to detail really matters, this could be the opportunity for you.
We’re looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our clients team and play an important role in making sure products arriving into the business meet the required standards and are presented in the best possible condition. This is a practical, hands-on position where you'll be inspecting products, identifying issues, maintaining quality records and working with colleagues and suppliers to help prevent problems from happening again.
What will you be doing?
- Checking incoming products against specifications, samples and agreed quality standards
- Carrying out routine inspections and identifying defects or inconsistencies
- Checking product packaging and condition, both on arrival and during warehouse storage
- Sorting defective or damaged items and carrying out basic rework or repacking where appropriate
- Some heavy lifting will be involved
- Recording inspection results accurately and keeping quality documentation up to date
- Highlighting quality issues and working with suppliers and internal teams to resolve them
- Supporting the management of supplier quality and raising concerns where standards aren't being met
- Helping identify recurring quality issues and suggesting practical improvements
- Supporting the wider team with quality-related queries and improvement projects
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties to support the team and the smooth running of the operation
What are we looking for?
- Some previous experience in quality control, inspection, warehousing, stock control, production or a similar environment
- A naturally thorough and detail-focused approach
- Good organisational skills and the ability to keep accurate records
- Basic confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Good communication skills and the confidence to raise issues when something isn't right
- A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
- The ability to work independently while also being part of a wider team
- A willingness to learn and develop your understanding of quality processes
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy operation where quality genuinely matters. You'll have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of quality control, supplier management and continuous improvement while working closely with different areas of the business.
If you're currently working in a warehouse, production, stock control or inspection role and are looking for your next step, we’d love to hear from you.
Thank you for taking the time to read the job advertisement and we look forward to receiving your application.
