As our client’s business continues to expand, we’re looking for an experienced Contract Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of key client contracts, ensuring exceptional service delivery while driving commercial success. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on building strong client relationships, leading operational teams and making a real impact on business performance. You MUST have previous experience in “Hard” FM services (either from an account management or operational perspective).
The Role
As Contract Manager, you’ll be responsible for the full lifecycle of your contracts—from successful mobilisation through to day-to-day operational management, commercial performance and long-term client retention. Working closely with operational, commercial and leadership teams, you’ll ensure our contracts are delivered safely, efficiently and profitably, whilst continually identifying opportunities to improve service delivery and grow customer relationships. No two days will be the same. You’ll balance strategic account management with operational leadership, ensuring customers receive the outstanding service they expect.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing a portfolio of client contracts and acting as the primary point of contact.
- Building long-term relationships with key stakeholders and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Leading successful mobilisations of new contracts, ensuring seamless transitions into operational delivery.
- Monitoring operational performance against KPIs and service level agreements.
- Managing contract profitability, pricing, variations and commercial performance.
- Producing quotations and pricing proposals for additional works and contract renewals.
- Leading and developing operational teams to achieve outstanding results.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies and contractual requirements.
- Working collaboratively across the business to support growth and deliver operational excellence.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who combines strong commercial awareness with excellent operational leadership and outstanding relationship management skills. You’ll ideally have:
- Proven experience managing service-based contracts.
- Strong account management and customer relationship experience.
- Experience leading operational teams across multiple sites.
- A solid understanding of pricing, budgeting and commercial performance.
- Experience mobilising new contracts and managing change successfully.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities with the confidence to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- A full UK driving licence.
Experience within electrical services, facilities management, utilities, infrastructure or a related technical services environment would be highly advantageous.
