Recruitment Hunters are recruiting an experienced Student Recruitment Advisor for their HIGHER EDUCATION client based in Birmingham. UK BASED CANDIDATES ONLY PLEASE WHO CAN COMMUTE TO BIRMINGHAM 2 DAYS PER WEEK. You should currently work for a University, or a University Provider / OPM - Online Programme Management firm and work in a Student Recruiter / Sales capacity. You MUST have a minimum of 3 years+ Student Recruitment experience from another UK University or University partner. This role will be consultative sales roles placing students onto Degree Courses, so we are looking for experienced sales professionals from the Higher Education Sector only.

The Student Recruitment Consultant role is predominately a telephone-based sales role responsible for efficiently managing all leads through the student recruitment funnel, from initial enquiry to enrolment. Specifically, the Student Recruitment Advisor will:

  • Guide new prospective students (domestic/international) through the application and enrolment process, communicating across multiple telephone, email, and direct message channels.
  • Ensure outstanding customer service is delivered to all, ensuring that enquiries, applications and enrolments are recorded and distributed per partner procedures and service standards.
  • Meet recruitment targets, ensuring that conversion rates from application to enrolment are maximised.

Key Purpose of the Role – Student Recruitment Consultant (Higher Education Sector)

  • Achieve set student recruitment targets.
  • Meet expected productivity and conversion KPIs throughout the different stages of the student journey.
  • Proactive sales activity by phone, email, WhatsApp, LinkedIn and other platforms.
  • Meet and exceed the business's long and short-term enrolment (sales) targets.
  • Provide and deliver accurate course information to prospective students through outstanding verbal and written communication. This will include explaining all relevant fee payments and support funding available to applicants (training provided).
  • Follow up with leads to meet enrolment conversion targets.
  • Enable recruitment and guidance procedures to be carried out in line with best practice guidelines and admission policies concerning safeguarding, equality, and diversity.
  • Support and manage applicants during the online admissions process.
  • Accurately assess applicants' eligibility and escalate complex applications to a subject specialist /or university admissions team as appropriate.
  • Accurately complete all supporting documentation (when required) to assess an applicant’s eligibility.
  • Accurately maintain students’ records in Salesforce CRM to reflect engagement history.
  • Prepare sales reports to reflect sales performance and lead and opportunity pipeline status accurately.
  • Work closely with Marketing colleagues, ensuring that opportunities to promote are sought out and responded to, and evaluate the success of this activity in the interest of return on investment (ROI) and continual improvement.
  • Promote and foster good links with university partners, agencies and other referral sources to increase applications in line with recruitment targets.
  • Coordinate and lead activities which form part of the admissions process, such as recruitment events and course demos. This will include attending webinar events when required to do so.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the department's continuous improvement plan.

Performance Measures

  • The total number of enrolled students at the start of each intake.
  • The total number of actionable (SQL) leads versus intake and annual targets.
  • The total number of offer holders versus intake and annual targets.
  • The average time it takes for prospective students to receive outreach from initial enquiry.
  • The percentage of students who drop out of the enrolment funnel by funnel stage.

Education and Skills – “Student Recruitment Consultant”

Education: Educated to degree level or equivalent (Ideally)

Experience:

  • 3 years+ Student Recruitment / Selling Degree Courses Experience (ESSENTIAL)
  • Education Sector - Sales in Higher Education OR Further Education Sector (ESSENTIAL)
  • Excellent communication and consultative sales skills. (ESSENTIAL)
  • Target-driven, determined and ambitious & Used to KPIs & Targets (ESSENTIAL)

Desirable:

  • An excellent track record in student recruitment.
  • Student Admissions experience.
  • Experience using Salesforce (CRM).

This is a permanent and a hybrid role, 2 days office (Wednesdays & Thursdays, 3 days remote in Birmingham). Excellent Salary + Bonus (Uncapped – Between 10% - 15%+ of Base) (More details can be explained on the bonus and the 3x Payout Months throughout the year). If candidates live out of the area, as the hybrid days are together, cheap rates available (at candidates' expense) for accommodation. No Sponsorships available.
