The predicted salary is between 31500 - 38500 £ per year.

About the role: Our social workers throw their heart and soul into transforming the lives of young people and their families. We are looking for a Social Worker to join the Adoption & Special Guardianship Support Team that is part of the Regional Adoption Agency (RAA) that supports adoptive & special guardianship families in Cambridgeshire & Peterborough. You will be joining a supportive team who have a wealth of therapeutic knowledge and skills. This is a 12 month fixed term role or secondment based in Huntingdon, but you will be working across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, as well as with our neighbouring local authorities.
Please note if you are applying for this role as a secondment you must speak to your line manager before applying, to confirm that you can be released from your substantive post. What will you be doing? You will be completing assessments of adoptive & special guardianship families and developing and implementing support plans. You will also be involved in running support groups for carers and young people as well as offering support and advice as part of a duty role. The team is committed to continuous learning and shares our learning and resources across the team, including supporting Student Social Workers in their work-based placement.
About you: We're looking for confident and dynamic individuals who enjoy making a difference in their local community, are curious and spot things that others might not see, enjoy building relationships and like to explore possibilities. You must be a qualified Social Worker with a Social Work England registration and have the ability to work from a variety of locations and travel countywide, and out of county, independently.
