About the role: Join Cambridgeshire Libraries and support a service that connects people with reading, learning, culture, and their local communities. We're looking for an organised, proactive, and collaborative Business Officer to provide administrative support across the Cambridgeshire Libraries Service, including The Library Presents; our award-winning arts programme that brings high-quality performances and creative workshops into libraries across the county. This is a part-time job share role, requiring excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
What will you be doing? As Business Officer, you'll help ensure our services run smoothly by coordinating meetings, maintaining accurate records, supporting financial processes, and responding to enquiries. You'll provide high-quality administrative support that enables colleagues to deliver excellent services for our communities and support The Library Presents programme.
About you: We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience in an administrative or business support role.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional approach.
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, including maintaining effective handovers within a job share arrangement.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and experience of maintaining accurate electronic records.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience of providing excellent customer service and responding sensitively to enquiries.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Experience of financial administration or working within local government would be an advantage but is not essential.
