Construction Compliance & H&S Manager Location: Winnersh, Berkshire with UK Site Travel Salary: Competitive, pro rate Job Type: Permanent, Part-time, anticipated 3 days per week About Oakley Food Projects They are a family-owned turnkey design and build specialist delivering construction, mechanical and electrical solutions to food, beverage and pharmaceutical manufacturers across the UK. External consultants will continue to support the company’s design and Principal Designer work. This role will primarily own construction-phase H&S, compliance and operational support. What the role will cover Health & Safety CPPs, traffic plans, fire and emergency plans Principal Contractor risk assessments RAMS reviews and high-risk planning Site inspections, audits and action close-out Incidents, near misses, inductions and toolbox talks Annual office risk assessment and H&S policy support Compliance H&S systems, templates and site files Contractor competence and prequalification Training and competency records CHAS support Permits, certificates and handover records O&M, H&S File, environmental and waste compliance Operational Support Practical day-to-day advice to project teams Mobilisation and project review support Safe solutions when site conditions change Site setup, logistics, welfare and emergency reviews Quality and compliance audits Lessons learned, coaching and consistent site standards What we are looking for Experienced in construction, refurbishment or fit-out H&S, ideally supporting a Principal Contractor NEBOSH Construction or equivalent, with strong knowledge of CDM Regulations Confident preparing CPPs, reviewing RAMS and carrying out site audits and investigations Practical, responsive and solutions focused, able to balance safety, proportionality and programme Comfortable working with Site Managers, project teams and subcontractors Full UK driving licence and willing to travel to project sites What we offer: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
