Job Description
Excellent opportunity for an experienced Tree Surgeon / Grounds Person for a well-established company based in Sutterton, Lincolnshire
Salary: £27,000 – £32,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications
Job Type: Full Time / Permanent. Minimum 40 hours per week (normal working hours 7.30 – 16:00)
Location: Sutterton, with travel around surrounding areas
The Company
They are a family landscape firm, trading for the past 25 years specialising in grounds and sports field maintenance. They cover all of Lincolnshire and surrounding counties and pride themselves on being able to provide commercial grounds maintenance works to the highest of standards.
Role and responsibilities
The position will involve some out of hours working when emergency works come in. There will also be occasion where you will be expected to work away. You will be paid accordingly for any additional works done outside your regular working hours.
Carrying out general arboriculturally duties for a number of clients; including but not limed to:
- Mixed Tree Works
- Hedge Cutting
- Site Clearence
- Stump Grinding
Candidate requirements
- Ability to manage own work without close supervision in all weathers and at all hours
- Minimum of 1 year’s practical experience within the arboriculture industry.
- City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross-Cutting (CS30)
- City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Felling Small Trees up to 380mm (CS31)
- City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Climbing Trees and Aerial Rescue (CS38)
- Aged over 21 (for insurance purposes)
- Full clean manual driving licence
- Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check
All PPE will be provided
Training and qualifications will be provided to keep staff trained and competent.
